Why would you need to grease a motor?

The motor requires periodic greasing to maintain lubrication to the moving parts of the motor. Regular greasing removes water and will keep the many moving compartments of the motor well-lubricated, reducing wear and tear.

How to grease a motor

  1. Ensure the kill switch is in the off position and the motor is in neutral.
  2. Remove the motor cowling
  3. Locate the grease points as Identified and grease using a grease gun or applying with a glove as applicable.
  4. Clean off excess grease from each grease location
  5. Replace motor cowling
