Why would you need to grease a motor?
The motor requires periodic greasing to maintain lubrication to the moving parts of the motor. Regular greasing removes water and will keep the many moving compartments of the motor well-lubricated, reducing wear and tear.
How to grease a motor
- Ensure the kill switch is in the off position and the motor is in neutral.
- Remove the motor cowling
- Locate the grease points as Identified and grease using a grease gun or applying with a glove as applicable.
- Clean off excess grease from each grease location
- Replace motor cowling
