Why would you need to adjust the motor steering friction?
Over time, due to usage, bush wear and vibrations, the motor steering may become loose and require the motor swivel friction to be adjusted. This can make driving the IRB more difficult in swell and chop.
How to tighten the motor swivel friction?
- Using a spanner or socket, tighten the steering friction adjustment bolt (spring loaded) on the 13mm on the starboard side of the motor.
- Ensure you only make small adjustments and check before doing further small adjustments if required.
