3.2. Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough

The “B” and “I” buttons on the toolbar let you turn selected text into bold or italic text.

But typing is easier:

Bold

Use stars (*) around a piece of text to make it bold:

*this is bold* becomes: this is bold

!Make sure there is no space between the stars and the text, other wise it won’t turn bold. In fact, if you use a space after a star on the beginning of a line, it will turn into a bullet :-)

Italic

Use underscores (_) for italic:

_this is italic_ becomes: this is italic

Underline

To underline some text, use plus sign (+) around it:

+underlined text+ will look like this in the output: underlined text

Strikethrough

Strikethrough text is created using minus signs (-):

-strikethrough text- will result in strikethrough text
