Delete a Gift Certificate

There are two types of Gift Certificates in our system:

  • Purchased
  • Generated

“Purchased” Gift Certificates are those that your customers have purchased from you. These types of Gift Certificates can not be “deleted”, but must be refunded to inactivate the Gift Certificate. To refund a Gift Certificate:

  1. Go to Store > Events > Gift Certificates > Gift Certificate Orders
  2. Select the Gift Certificate Order to refund
  3. Go to More Options > Refund

“Generated” Gift Certificates are those that are manually created through the Admin account or automatically created as part of giving the customer a studio credit. These types of Gift Certificates can simply be “deleted”:

  1. Go to Store > Events > Gift Certificates > Gift Certificates
  2. Select the Gift Certificate to delete
  3. Go to More Options > Delete Gift Certificate
