Cikisi pursue its evolution and get an update to follow the latest trends & innovation in the monitoring market.

You could notice it from Monday, July 24 2023, our platform got a major facelift, going from version 2.7.4 to 3.0.1.

A necessary update

Cikisi has changed a lot from the first V2 to the latest patch (merger of Watch and Search, etc.).
Certain designations or structures no longer exist, others have been merged.

A great cleaning was needed to support the evolution of your monitoring platform.

The main changes

  1. Menu structure
  2. New features (easier navigation)
  3. New vocabulary (themes, collections)
  4. New source design

1. Menu structure

Feature menus (top, horizontal)

  1. Resources: Here you will find all the features/tools of the platform – Everything you need to set up your strategy to find information
  2. Share: All the tools to share information with your colleagues
  3. Activity: Activities of any user of the platform and interactions between them

Quick navigation pane

From the Search Engine, you can easily access any search using the Quick navigation pane, grouping together all of your saved searches and your old collections.

Search bar “Find in Cikisi”

Allowing you to quickly find any content on your platform: your searches, sources, etc.

2. Vocabularies

Search = search
Your searches are always called “searches”. No change here.

Theme = Topic!
On the other hand, your themes are now called “topics”. Their use is now reduced to that of storage folders for your research.
A search must be stored in a topic.

Set = set
No change on the research set side, still possible and no change regarding the name.

Collection = Knowledge topic
Your manual curation storage folders (humanly selected articles from the noise of your research) are now called knowledge topics instead of collection !

3. And the sources?

Small change on the sourcing side.

Before, a source was a robot monitoring a URL, a domain name or an account on a social network.

From now on, a source includes all the robots on the same domain name!

Source > bots

The term “bot” becomes a generic name encompassing all robots, regardless of their types (crawlers, scrapping bots, rss, etc.) monitoring the same domain name.
