If a staff member of the Secretariat resigns from his/her current appointment in a particular duty station to take a new appointment in another duty station, his/her “EOD UN Secretariat” and “EOD UN Common System” will be the effective date of his/her reappointment in the other duty station.
Example: a staff member in the General Service category who joined the Secretariat in Nairobi on 10 May 1996, resigned from his/her position in Nairobi COB 31 March 2018, and is reappointed in New York effective 1 April 2019, will have his/her EODs reset to the effective date of his/her reappointment in New York:
- EOD UN Common System: 01/04/2019
- EOD UN Secretariat: 01/04/2019
