Scan Station PC Viewer Settings

To configure a scanner for use with RVI, go to the Image/Preferences menu option and select the Scanner Support tab.

When the Load TWAIN and Load Kofax Scanners options are selected the Default Scanner list is loaded with a list of all scan sources installed and configured on the PC. The available list is based on the installed scanner driver(s) and whether a license for Kofax Virtual Rescan is found. RVI recommends using Kofax with the ISIS driver when available.

!Barcode scanning requires a Kofax VRS AIPE license. RVI does not sell or license Kofax VRS. For information on Kofax VRS, contact Kofax support or a Kofax reseller.

Select the Default Scanner to use from this list. Different scan sources will produce different results.

• If the IBM i Host System Control option is enabled, the Default Scanner will be automatically used for each scan request. The user will not have the option to select between any additional available scanners.

• If the IBM i Host System Control option is disabled, the user can select the Default Scanner and change scanner selections at scan time.
  Once the scan source is selected, the Scan menu will be available on the menu options.

The final step is to identify the EHLLAPI value for your IBMi connection.

Go to the Image/Preferences menu option and select the EHLLAPI tab.
