Not only software packages are managed here, but also the integrated terminal server for Windows applications.
Software packages via containers
A container is a kind of “virtualization light” and enables the provision of applications in an encapsulated form. Several applications can run within one container or several containers can be combined to form a single unit.
The underlying system here is Docker.
Pintexx Workplace is therefore also a Docker GUI.
All containers that comply with the Docker standard can be operated via a special repository (in XML).
This includes not only the Pintexx Workplace applications but all types of open source applications.
The Linux terminal server for Windows applications
Windows applications can be installed and started using a special container (enterprise version).
An instance of the container is started for each user. This means that a separate application environment is available for each user.
This application can now be accessed via a browser using PW REMOTE.
If the connection is terminated, the current status is retained
