User
Authentication is performed via a local user account.
Directory
Authentication is performed via a directory service. This must be configured under “Settings” – “Directory Service.”
FIDO2
FIDO2 allows authentication via a smartphone without using a password.
Radius
Authentication is performed via a Radius server. This must be configured under “Settings” – “Radius”.
Electronic ID card
If authentication is to be performed via the electronic ID card, different providers are supported here.
If an Ausweisapp2 or Open eCard app is installed, it is automatically recognized.
The system then prompts you to enter your PIN or place your ID card on a reader.
If no local application is found, a QR code is displayed.
This must be scanned with a special app.
The authentication process then takes place via the app.
