In the telephone area, a volume control, a telephone number field, a dial keypad, an icon for answering calls and a back button are displayed.
If a green symbol appears next to the telephone number field, the user is connected to the telephone system.
If the icon is red, there is no connection.

The telephone number can be entered via the contact list, via the dial keypad or via the keypad.

If a telephone number has been entered in the telephone number field, a call can be made using the dial button.
A dial tone is audible if an audio output device is available.

If the subscriber picks up, a selection menu with various options appears:

The first icon can be used to end the call.
The 2nd icon can be used to add another contact to a conference.
The 3rd icon can be used to put the call on hold to call another contact.
The 4th icon can be used to switch your own tone on and off.

If you call your own telephone, you will hear a dial tone and a selection menu will appear:

The call can be accepted using the first symbol or rejected using the second symbol.

The features described are only possible if they are also supported by the telephone system
