The Rescue and Resuscitation (R&R) Competition Manual can be accessed here. * To view the R&R Rules please go to the Surf Sports Manual.

The following events will be conducted at Senior Lifesaving Carnivals, depending on the carnival program (please check the relevant program as required):

  • Open 6 Person (single or any gender combination)
  • Open Female 5 Person
  • Open Male 5 Person
  • Open Mixed 5 Person (3/2 or 2/3 gender combination – see General Conditions)
  • U19 5 Person (single or any gender combination)
  • U17 5 Person (single or any gender combination)
  • U13-U15 5 Person (single or any gender combination)
  • U17 2 Person
  • U13-U14 2 Person
  • U14-U15 2 Person

Youth and Senior R&R will be conducted at the following carnivals:

  • Sunday 8 December 2024 – Ocean Grove SLSC
  • Saturday 12 January 2025 – Anglesea SLSC
  • Sunday 2 February 2025 – Lorne SLSC

Please note the following key messages, regarding R&R:

  • Please check carnival program for start times for this specific area.
  • As per Circular 177.11.21, SLSA has advised the introduction of the U13 age group into the Australian Youth Surf Lifesaving Championships and specifically the introduction of the U13-U15 5 Person R&R event. This event is open to any combination of male and female competitors in the U13 to U15 age categories.
  • As per Circular 177.11.21 an U14 Competitor cannot compete on both age divisions for 2 person.

Please note: All temporary rules due to COVID-19 Pandemic have been lifted. All rules revert back as per Surf Sports Manual.
