To compete at any LSV carnival and Club-led carnivals, members must meet the Competition Eligibility requirements under Sections 2.2 and 2.3 of the Surf Sports Manual and SLSA Policy 5.04. Please note that the Patrol Hour Requirements apply only to State Championships.

At the time of entry, competitors must be a financial member of the club with which they have their competition rights and be registered for the current season. It is the Club’s responsibility to ensure this occurs, along with the responsibility to ensure that all competitors are proficient and hold all relevant awards, and that competition requirements are met.

Youth and Senior competitors must have competed in at least one LSV run carnival in the current season to be eligible to compete at the Victorian Senior Lifesaving Championships. This requirement does not apply to Masters State Titles, or to Surf Boat competitors at the Victorian Senior Lifesaving Championships.

Note: All awards must be up to date and proficient in Surfguard prior to entries closing in order for a competitor to be entered. Any Non-Award members (not accredited but who meet the relevant eligibility requirements under SLSA Policy 5.04 and guidelines) seeking to compete at LSV carnivals must follow the process outlined therein. If a competitor’s awards have not been processed, contact your club’s chief instructor or club captain to check they have completed all requirements, then contact your club Training and Assessment Officer to complete the final submission or contact volunteertraining@lsv.com.au if you are still having issues.

Membership Clearances and Transfers

Any transfers MUST be fully completed prior to entries closing for each respective LSV carnival a member(s) is entering. No late entries will be accepted for any LSV carnival if a Competitive Transfer is incomplete by the time of entries closing. Please refer to Section 2.2.4 of the Surf Sports Manual for further detail.

For any membership transfer questions or status requests, please contact clubsupport@lsv.com.au
