Entering competitors for carnivals must be completed through the ‘Sport App – entries system’ and is the responsibility of the Team Manager of each respective club:
Carnival Type | Entries close / notes |
---|---|
LSV Carnivals |
|
VSRL Carnivals |
|
Junior, Senior, Endurance and Masters’ Victorian Lifesaving Championships (including Surf Boats) |
|
Clubs and athletes who enter a LSV Summer carnival are subject to all terms and conditions stipulated in the event circular for that event.
Clubs with competitors found competing who are not listed on the official club entry sheet will be fined an amount equivalent to four times the normal entry fee. The matter will then be referred to the Competition Disciplinary Committee for further penalties as determined by this panel. Please note random checks on these requirements will be carried out throughout the season. Please note, there will be no late scratchings.
Members of interstate clubs are eligible to compete at Life Saving Victoria carnivals subject to meeting the eligibility requirements outlined within this Handbook. Interested interstate clubs are to contact sport@lsv.com.au.
Sport App – Entry System
The Aquatic Sport Carnival Entry System (SportApp – Entries) is a web-based system for Team Managers to administer aquatic sport carnival entries. All carnival entries for Junior, Senior, and Masters’ events are done via SportApp. Additionally, SportApp has an inbuilt Officials Rostering App to allow efficiency for team managers to see club requirements at each carnival.
For all carnivals and championships, competitors need to be entered into the events in which they plan to race and only those such events. When entering events, please only tick the events that they are going to compete in. For team events, Team Managers are not required to add individual athlete names for team entries, only team names; athlete names will be added at marshalling.
User Access
The program is accessible from devices including smartphones and tablets, laptops, and computers, and requires internet connectivity to access the functionality.
The club’s Team Manager must be allocated in Surfguard in order to enter members into carnivals. Team Managers (up to 4 per club) can be nominated for each of these roles (Junior or Senior). This can be completed in the Officers’ section under Organisational Management, or please contact your Club’s VSO for guidance.
LSV have pulled together some simple instructions for using TeamApp, including a basic access guide, FAQ, and a troubleshooting guide, all of which can be found here.
General contact or issues:
If you have any issues with submitting entries via SportApp, make sure to contact LSV by emailing sport@lsv.com.au prior to close of entries to ensure that the member can compete, assuming all other entry requirements are met. NOTE: Any entry queries received after close of entries will be regarded as a late entry and therefore will not be accepted.
