Fixing Internal USB HUB Audio Issue

Device hub connect USB speaker (such as K-Speak).
When connecting a PC to SWT3 / EXT3 switcher with USB, the video will redirect to screen, but audio will not work on the screen.
On the PC, the default Audio device will be set as – “Speakers (3-USB2 Controller Hub)”.
As a result, NO audio will be heard on the PC either.

*There is option to manually to select the audio device by clicking on the audio icon and expand the list of audio devices (see figure below).

USB-Audio-Internal HUB Burning Procedure

Setting up device for burning Procedure

1. Download the burning tool from the link: MPLABConnect_V2.6.2.zip
2. Unzip the file MPLABConnect_V2.6.2 to your laptop.
3. Connect 12v ,20v power supply or POE to the unit (for example SWT3-31-HU).
4. Connect USB-C/USB A-B cable from your laptop to USB input on the device.
   
5. On “MPLABConnect_V2.6.2” folder navigate to – MPLABConnect_GUI > MPLABConnect.EXE.
6. Click the exe file – MPLABConnect.EXE.
   
7. The burning application will open.

Burning device using Configurator

1. Choose from the list – USB 3.1 Gen2 Hubs
2. Select -* Online (Device Attached)* See below:
   
3. The process begins.
   
4. Go to > “Advanced Features” Tab.
5. Select “I2S Interface Configuration”.
   
6. Mark- “Disable” option.
7. Click “Apply changes”.
   
8. Click “OK” on the popup message.
   
9. The process will start.
10. Wait for the process completion confirmation at the bottom of the screen.
    
11. Disconnect the USB-C cable.
