KDS-7-MNGR: UI Does Not Show the Preview

Issue:

The source preview doesn’t work properly (there is no preview displayed) when in the KDS-7-MNGR Main>AV Routing page, in the “Icon” view .

Solution:

The source preview will work properly only when the KDS-7-MNGR and the KDS-7 Encoders and KDS-7 Decoders
are accessed using HTTPS with valid certificates or all are accessed using HTTP with HTTPS disabled.

To show the preview:

1. Make sure KDS-EN7 is updated with the latest FW.
2. Go to Device Management page, and select the Devices tab, then click the “link” icon to jump to the EN7 web page.
   
3. View the following while accessing the web when the Web Browser blocks the HTTPS connection.
   
4. Enable the HTTPS (enabled by default).
5. Click APPLY & REBOOT. It may take about 1 minute to reboot the unit.
   
6. Go back to MNGR, and make sure that you can see the preview image now.
   
   Preview is visible.
