In some situations, the weight display will indicate an error message due to a scale malfunction.
This is a list of error messages that may appear and some suggestions for troubleshooting.

No communication with the scale | Check if the scale is turned on. Check the connection between the scale and the PC. |
Error 01 | Scale flash memory is corrupted and cannot be reset to factory settings. | Break the verification seal, open the Xtrem module cover, toggle the seal switch to the OFF position, and restart the scale. The instrument must be recalibrated and verified. |
Error 02 | Scale A/D converter failure. Unable to get signal from load cell | The scale needs to be repaired |
Error 03 | The load cell signal is out of range. | Fault in the scale sensor. In case of a scale with several load cells, check the connections in the signal junction box. In either case, the scale must be repaired. |
Error VOut | The power to the load cells is too low. | There may be a short circuit in the measurement circuit. It can happen due to a failure in a load cell. The scale needs to be repaired |
Power alarm | The power supply voltage to the scale is too low. | If a rechargeable battery is being used to power the scale, recharge the battery. |
ADC H | Load cell signal is too high | It could be due to a load cell wiring problem, but also due to a faulty load cell that must be replaced. |
ADC L | Load cell signal is too low | Same as the previous case. |

The load on the scale exceeds the maximum capacity | If the error message persists after removing the load, the scale must be repaired. |

The scale indicates a negative weight | Check the load receptor. Do a reset. If the error message persists, there is a faulty load cell and the scale needs to be serviced. |
