Start using PC-XTREM

Once the application is installed start PC-XTREM by double clicking on the shortcut icon available on the Windows desktop. PC-XTREM scans your system for available Xtrem scales.

*With the initial configuration of the application, the search for scales is limited to the COM ports of the PC. If you want to extend the search to the local area network, you must change this setting as indicated in the Scale connection options section.

In case of finding several scales available, it will display a list for you to select the scale you want to manage.

If multiple XTREM scales are available, you can open a weighing display for each scale. Every time you double-click the application shortcut icon, a new weight viewer will open. To close a PC-XTREM window, click the “close” icon in the upper right corner of the window.

If only one available scale is found, PC-Xtrem will automatically display the scale’s weighing display.

In case there is no scale available, a warning sign will appear indicating that it is not possible to connect to any Xtrem scale.

In this case, check the connections and don’t forget the power supply: A green LED on the Xtrem scale indicates that it is on. This indicator flashes when data is being sent or received to a device connected to the scale’s RS232 serial cable.

Click the “refresh” icon in the window title bar to have PC-XTREM re-scan the system for available scales.
