Parts of the system

Tabular package consists of 3 parts.

1. Tabular Excel add-in — this is the main Excel add-in which is an application level add-in.
2. Narrative reporting Word add-in – this is a helper Word add-in which allows you to extract values from Excel workbooks and help you create RSR and SFCR reports
3. Downloadable zip file which we refer as Tabular main workbook or Tabular main entry point. This zip file contains the main entry point of the system (where you create your returns from) as well as the database file and the template workbook that contains all application excel sheets. It also contains some helper files as well as the log files of the application.
   

Database

We are using SQL server compact which is a serverless database, which means it is just a file in the file structure. No need for setting servers, modifying firewalls and can work offline without access to internet.
