For using Tabular on small data sets:

Other Notes
Note that lower spec machines can also load tabular as long as they can run Excel, however performance will be slower in some resource demanding operations like import, validation and Create return.
Tabular doesn’t support online version of Excel as it does not support Com add-ins.
