Annually, the purchase of supplies in the areas of athletics, art, music, science, business, physical education and janitorial exceed the annual bid threshold ($40,000) and must be publicly advertised and awarded.

The Morris Hills Regional District uses Educational Data Services (Ed Data) for this annual bid process. Staff can access the Ed Data website with a User ID and password to create orders. Administrators can approve those orders in the Ed Data system. The Business Office generates purchase orders from the information received directly from Ed Data.

An annual purchasing calendar is included in this manual. If supplies are purchased outside of the dates established for annual purchasing, staff may purchase items using the Ed Data consortium prices but must create requisitions in the District’s purchasing system.

If you create a requisition using Ed Data generated pricing you must indicate the bid number on the PO line under special instructions.

Awarded contracts through Ed Data can change annually. Before using a vendor or entering a requisition you must verify that the vendor you’re using as been awarded the contract for the current school year.
