MHRD employees are prohibited from signing any contract offered by a vendor. The power to sign and execute contracts after Board of Education approval lies with the Board President and the Board Secretary.

The Morris Hills Regional District shall consider contracts signed by an employee non-binding with the employee accepting full responsibility for the costs of the contract.

The Business office will maintain all original executed contracts. If you need a contract signed please submit a BOSC ticket, utilizing the ticket type “Contract Submission”. Once it’s executed a copy will be returned to the vendor and the original submitter.

The Business Office will not sign off on a contract that hasn’t been signed by the vendor first. Additionally, contracts cannot be signed until the requisition becomes a purchase order.

Processing a Contract

  1. Receive contract from vendor
  2. Contract is initialed by department supervisor
  3. Requisition is entered
  4. Write requisition number on the contract
  5. Scan in contract
  6. Submit BOSC ticket type Contract Submission
