Testing your External Content Type Methods

To save you valuable time, BCS Meta Man enables you to test your methods from within the BCS Meta Man application. The alternative is to create External Lists, Configure the Search, Add BCS Web Parts to the page etc. To test from within the BCS Meta Man client:

1. Click File, Test Model (CTRL+T)
2. Enter the SharePoint Server URL, Domain, Username and Password.
3. Click the Blue Execute Arrow
4. Expand a Model
5. Expand a method
6. Right click the method and choose execute.
7. Note that you can test all methods including Finder, Specific Finder, ID Enumerator, Creator, Updater and Deleter.
