7.2. Synchronization with EPC

This module allows administrators to synchronize environments, departments, users, and/or roles with EPC. It also allows the synchronization of relationships between departments, users, and roles.

*In this context, ‘relationships’ refer to the interconnected links between organizational entities. For example, a department can be linked to a role, and a role can be linked to a department and/or a user.

1. Environment: This is a single-select dropdown field that retrieves the list of environments from EPC. It allows administrators to select the environment from which data will be synchronized with DBP.
   

   !!If no data appears in this dropdown, the administrator will need to re-establish the connection between DBP and EPC via the Settings module, accessible through the Facilities menu.

2. Sync All: This button allows administrators to synchronize all data—departments, users, roles, and their relationships—from the selected EPC environment with DBP.
   • Upon selecting this button, a brief processing period will begin, during which the form will undergo updates.
     • The administrator will be kept informed about the progress through a sequence of notifications.
       

       **These notifications will mark key stages of the process, such as the initiation or conclusion of synchronization for different objects, culminating with the End of Synchronization notification.

     • After the import is completed, the administrator will receive a notification via the Messages menu, containing a comprehensive summary of the import results.
       

       **This summary includes the number of departments, users, and roles added or updated, as well as any errors or conflicts encountered during the process.

3. Tabs: The module includes tabs for navigating and synchronizing individual data categories.
