3.1 Playlists

In Pi Music Player, there are 4 playlists that are created by the app. These are called Smart Playlists. To access Smart Playlists you can either navigate to the PLAYLISTS tab or click on the Menu Icon and select Smart Playlists from the options. The Smart playlists are as follows:

1. Recently Added -> This playlist consists of the songs recently received, downloaded or imported. The most recently added song appears on top.
2. Most Played -> This playlist consists of the songs that are most frequently played by the user.
3. Recently Played -> This playlist consists of the songs that were most recently played by the user.
4. Pi Favorites -> This playlist consists of songs that were liked by the user from the Player Screen

*Since version 2.6.5, Pi Music Player uses it’s own Playlist Management System. When a user installs Pi Music Player, a copy of all playlists created in other music players (stored in the Android Database) will be migrated to Pi Music Player. Any changes made to these playlists/ playlists created in Pi Music Player after 2.6.5 will be exclusive only to Pi Music Player and will not affect playlists in other Music Players.

If Playlists aren’t automatically migrated, users can manually migrate playlists by selecting the Import Playlists options from Settings in Pi Music Player.

*Users can hide the Smart Playlists if they wish by going to Settings -> Show Smart Playlists in Playlists Tab and disable it.
