IT0965 NPO Education Grant

This infotype stores the details about the Education Grant an employee is eligible.

Use Education Grant (0965) infotype to capture details on the expenses that an employee incurs in educating children. The employee is also eligible to reimburse the boarding expenses, and travel expenses for children between the educational institution and the duty station.

A special Education Grant for disabled children is also available for employees of all categories, whether or not serving in their home country. This is only if the employee has an appointment of six months or longer, or have completed six months of continuous service.

  • In the Administration tab, the system displays the child’s master data and whether or not the child is eligible for Education Grant. You can override the eligibility that the system determines by maintaining the value in EG Customer Status field. In such cases, you must also mention the reason for the change in eligibility in the Change Reason field.
  • In the Appl.Data field, you must maintain the information about the school and attendance of the child. You must also maintain the currency in which the employee incurs the education expenses, the boarding details and whether or not the employee is eligible for lumpsum payment on books expenditure.
  • In the Others tab, you can maintain any additional general comments related to Education Grant.
  • In the Advance tab, maintain the Education Grant advances that the employee is proposed to receive in the starting of the scholastic year.
  • In case you have set the following parameters in the User Profile, the system displays the Advance Payment paydate and Overwrite Advance Payment fields:
    • PBUN_EG_ADVPYMNT
    • PBUN_EG_CLMPYMNT
  • In the Claim tab, maintain the Education Grant claims that the employee is eligible. The employee eligibility is determined depending on the proofs that he or she submits against the expenses incurred.

In case the employee has received an advance more than what he or she has claimed, the excess needs to be recovered. The system displays this Recovery Date in the infotype. This date is usually three months from the end of scholastic year.

In the Advance and Claim tabs, select the Preview option, to view the Education Grant that the system calculates as per the information that you maintain in this infotype. You can use this option to decide whether you need to change any information that you have maintained.
