Use

All the information stored in this infotype is used to calculate the payment for higher duties by comparing the nominal salary with the higher duties salary, and generating the difference; this will be the payment for higher duties.

For example, if the employee’s Higher Duties salary is $34,746 and Nominal salary is $24,746. Higher Duties Allowance will be $10,000, which is the difference between the Higher Duties salary and the Nominal salary.

The Activity with Higher Rate (0509) infotype is divided into the following groups of data:

General

In this tab, you record:

  • Reason why employee of higher duty position is absent and position has to be filled.
  • Percentage the employee receives based on the higher duty performed. The Higher Duty allowance amount is paid based on the percentage specified in this field. For example, if the employee works 60% on Higher Duty and 40% on nominal, then this field has to be specified with 60. So, the amount for higher duty is paid for 60%.
  • Percentage of cost to be borne by the nominal cost centre. While a person is performing higher duty it might be required to distribute the person’s costs between nominal cost center and higher duty cost center. The relevant nominal cost center percentage is to be entered in this field.
  • Indicates whether you want to pay the employee for full day even if the employee only worked for half a day. For example, if an employee works for half a day in the higher duty position, he will be paid for the full day.
  • Indicator whether employee is not paid for the higher duty if he works for less than half a day in this position. For example, an employee works for less than half a day in the higher duty position. If the Count actual period of performance radio button is chosen, you can select this checkbox. In this case, the employee is not paid for the higher duty.
