State Drone Co-ordinator

Must hold, as a minimum, sub 7kg Remote Pilots Licence
Will be required to pass the SLSQ ReOC Senior Remote Pilot exam
Will assist the SLSQ Chief Remote Pilot to oversee Ops Support UAV operations
Ensure all SLSQ club-based UAV operations are conducted in accordance with this SOP manual, CASA legislation and club specific procedures
Co-ordinate development of Club Drone Captains, including in inductions
Co-ordinate and develop annual proficiencies for all SLSQ club-based Drone Operators
Conduct audits across state to ensure compliance – either virtually or in person
Assist Club Drone Captains in investigating any non-compliance issues, including enforcing remedial actions
Act on incidents as reported by Surfcom. Strict timeframes are imposed by CASA/ATSB including reporting accidents within 24 hours
The State Drone Co-ordinator may develop regional Co-ordinators to assist with their duties
