The HITRUST Products & Services Directory (PSD) connects businesses to businesses. In the HITRUST ecosystem, this means that customers are looking for specific offerings to help them in not only their HITRUST journey, but in other compliance journeys as well.
Because the HITRUST CSF framework harmonizes 40+ authoritative sources, users can navigate PSD not only through the HITRUST CSF lens, but against other authoritative sources as well (e.g., NIST SP 171, HIPAA).
HITRUST’s Product & Services Directory (PSD) is a directory, not a marketplace, as no transactions are initiated or processed within it. PSD allows you as a provider to showcase your offerings’ ability to help satisfy the requirement statements of the HITRUST CSF as well as other authoritative sources. PSD also allows you to demonstrate how your offerings can help your customers achieve or maintain compliance with the HITRUST CSF and other authoritative sources. Also, PSD helps foster awareness of your offerings across the HITRUST customer base and the open Internet.
PSD personas include prospective customers (i.e., searchers), product and service providers, and HITRUST.
- Searchers are trying to find a provider to meet a specific need. This could include software or professional services.
- Providers could be software vendors focusing on IT operations, IT security, or risk and compliance, as well as professional service providers.
This user guide is focused on the self-service functions within PSD performed by you as a provider from the PSD Admin Homepage, including user administration, offering setup and publishing, and HITRUST CSF control mapping. Note that this guide does not discuss the general searching and navigation of PSD found in the Products & Services Directory.
