A key aspect of PSD is the mapping of an offerings capabilities and value-adds to the relevant HITRUST CSF requirement statements that best describe them. Offerings do not need to be mapped to the HITRUST CSF, although doing so is highly recommended. Mappings to the HITRUST CSF enable PSD to articulate the strength of your offering against numerous other authoritative sources (e.g., HIPAA) and is a primary differentiator of PSD over other online directories.

More mappings mean more visibility for your offering. Said another way: mapped offerings are more likely to be found by searchers in PSD. This is because:

  1. Mapped offerings are more likely to appear in keyword searches within PSD.
  2. Only mapped offerings are shown when the searcher is traversing PSD against the HITRUST CSF and other authoritative sources (e.g., HIPAA).
  3. Only mapped offerings appear in the PSD pages linked to from MyCSF (e.g., in MyCSF’s Corrective Action Plans listing).
  4. Only mapped offerings appear in the PSD pages linked to from HITRUST’s shared responsibility matrix.
