ActiveControl Web Platform can be deployed to a standalone Node (Node.js) server, which could be hosted on-prem or with a cloud hyperscaler such as AWS, Azure etc. This deployment option is likely to be favoured by customers that are not using other parts of SAP BTP.
This server must be Linux-based server. It is not recommended to run NodeJS on a productive Windows server.
Deploying the Web Platform is done via a docker image, to minimise the steps and effort involved for Basis Technologies’ customers. Please refer to this online Knowledge article for the pre-requisites and steps for installing Web Platform to a Node server.
