If users previously created Parsing rules, they will be available in this section.

Users will have the possibility to apply them or not, by checking or unchecking each rule. By checking or unchecking them, users will be able to see in real time how the rule is applied or not to the data.

Ignore Left-Margin Default

In this section, Parser has a default selected rule, which is Ignore left-margin. This rule is put in place to allow organizations to tag text that has a different margin than the rest of the content in the same way as other parts of the document, without margin.

If you deselect this rule, the text will be tagged separately from the rest of the content.

Here is an example of what your document would look like in Parser, with this rule selected:

Ignore Left Margin

Auto Tag Description

This rule is used to automatically tag space in between names as the object’s description.

For example, in this document, we tagged the processes sequence numbers and the names:

If we select the “Auto Tag Description” button in the “Select Rule” menu and Click Parse, the rest of the text will be tagged as the process’ descriptions:

Add Rule Button

Users can also add rules directly in the Rule Selection Menu, by clicking on the “Add Rule” button. To create rules and learn more information about the rule building process, click here.
