In the Process: Task Receiver form, there are two tabs to consider: Task Types and Task Type Properties.

  1. Task Types

In this tab, users can view a comprehensive list of all available tasks across all applications.

  1. Task Type Properties

In this tab, users can view and modify the properties of the selected task.

  • Receiver Type: This is a radio button that allows users to select only one option from a set of mutually exclusive options. Users can distinguish the receiver type as either specific or defined.
    • If Specific is selected, it will enable the Specific Receivers dropdown.
    • If Defined is selected, it will enable the Defined Receivers radio button.
  • Specific Receivers: This is a multi-select dropdown field that retrieves the list of departments, roles, users, and groups (from the Organization Management section of the Admin application). It allows for multiple receivers to be selected at a time.
  • Defined Receivers: This is a radio button that allows users to select only one option from a set of mutually exclusive options.
    • Users can choose one of the following criteria:
      • Current Role: This option allows for the task to be sent to the current role.
      • Current Role Department Management: This option allows for the task to be sent to the current department manager.
        • A task can only be assigned to the current department manager if the previous step in the workflow was assigned to a role.
      • Starter Role: This option allows for the task to be sent to the starter role.
      • Starter Role Department Management: This option allows for the task to be sent to the starter department manager.
      • Current User: This option allows for the task to be sent to the current user.
      • Starter User: This option allows for the task to be sent to the starter user.
    • Depending on the criteria selected, the system will automatically assign the task to the appropriate receiver(s).
    • For general reference:
      • A starter user or role refers to the person or role responsible for initiating a workflow or process.
      • A current user or role refers to the person or role currently working on or interacting with the workflow or process.
  • Save: This button allows users to save the task assignment.
