What is the UV TRANSFER ASSOC DEGREE Table?

This table contains Associate degree data for undergraduate transfer students enrolled at a university by institution attended. Institutions include Arizona universities your students have attended before or after they attended your institution, based on the files submitted by your institution.

What is the key (unique identifier for a row) for this table?

Unique records are determined by Arizona Unitid, ASSIST Student ID, UV Transfer Institution Code, and UV Associate Degree Code. In other words, there is one record per university per student per transfer institution per Associate degree.

Why would you use this table?

If you are a community college, you would want to use this table to determine how many of your students who transferred to a university completed an Associate degree at your institution, based on university records.

If you are a university, you would want to use this table to determine how many new transfers enrolled at your institution completed an Associate degree prior to transferring.

Notes on using this table:

(1) In this table, Arizona Unitid refers ONLY to universities.

(2) If you are a community college, you can limit UV Transfer Institution Code to your institution to select only those students who completed an Associate degree at your institution.

(3) Universities did not begin collecting these data until Spring 2000. If you are a community college, you would use the CC DEGREE table to determine who completed an Associate degree prior to this time.

(4) This table tends to undercount actual awards because of processing and timing inconsistencies. For more accurate counts, use this table in conjunction with the CC DEGREE table.
