Applications

The Applications management menu accessible through the navigator provides CSP Admin functionalities for Viewing, Creating & Managing Applications remotely. This menu is accessible through the navigator and divided into two dropdown menus, Clusters & Applications.

Applications

Within CemTore software, Applications can be seen as the next software instance where device data are forwarded to after mediation process.
CemTore provides Application Connectors to easily build data path from the device to the business intelligence applications.

*Info: Applications can be seen as a combination of any resources, credentials or parameters required to perform data forwarding to applications running out of CemTore.

Clusters

Clusters declaration makes application creation more friendly for the end user. Some applications that runs on specific datacenters vendors, require to provide large amount of hostnames, ports, obscure options that might be hard to create for the end user.

Clusters are objects that the administrator create only once, fulfilling all complex parameters in one panel, allowing the end user to choose within which cluster its application should belong to.

!Some application such as MQTT may not require to select a Cluster because the underlying technology only requires to provide a simple hostname as the target.
