• Once you have selected the Routines you want your program to be part of, complete the fields for Start Date and End Date. These fields specify the calendar parameters for when you envision the program running. For example, these dates might be the client’s IEP/ISP/IFSP dates, one quarter of the IEP/ISP/IFSP, or they could be the contract/authorization dates for a client. For an EI child, they might indicate the date you start services until the day before the child turns 3.
  • In the Repetition field, please enter a number for how many times you want this program to run in one day. Please keep in mind that if you assign the program to more than one Routine and you want the program to run in each of those Routines, then you have to enter that number in the Repetition field.
  • The Curriculum Frameworks field is available if you are working in a setting which requires you to tie your program to a strand in the Frameworks. If you are not required to do this, just skip this field.
  • The Objective field is where you enter the ultimate goal for this program. In the example below, you can see that “to tie shoes” is the specified objective. In some cases, you may want to write in the IEP/ISP objective, or the treatment plan objectives in this field.
  • In the Program Category, please select the category of teaching program you wish to use (Discrete Trials, Task Analysis, or Shaping). [See Using Discrete Trials, Using Task Analysis, or Using Shaping for the next steps in the Adding Programs step sequence].
  • In our example, shoe tying is going to be taught through a Task Analysis (TA). [See Using Task Analysis for more on this example].
