• The Prompting field is where you specify the prompting sequence you want to use for teaching a program. The four most common Prompting sequences are pre-programmed in Big Data. These include Most to Least, Least to Most, Expressive Most to Least, and Expressive Least to Most. In addition, you have the option of designing a Custom prompting sequence by selecting Custom on the drop-down

  • Most to Least
  • Least to Most
  • Expressive Most to Least
  • Expressive Least to Most
  • Custom
  • You will also see items that say FP, LP, G, and I with text box fields next to them. These text box fields may already be populated with definitions that were entered in the library. If you wish to change these descriptions for your specific client, just enter your definitions of these prompts in these text fields. For example, next to FP you could enter: “Full Physical – use full hand-over-hand guidance”.
  • If you want to include a time delay procedure into the prompting process, please check off the box next to Time Delay. In the Specify Amount of Delay field, please enter the amount of time you want staff to wait prior to prompting. For example, you could enter “3 seconds”. Staff will be able to see that you want this to be considered in the implementation of the program.
  • If you select Custom for the Prompting sequence, the following fields will appear on the screen:

  • You have the ability to identify and define up to 10 custom prompts for your custom sequence. Follow these steps to set-up your custom prompting sequence:
    • Define the prompt first with an abbreviation for the prompt (ex., I, G, FP1, etc.)
    • After the abbreviation use a semi-colon (;)
    • After the semi-colon, define the prompt (ex., independently completes task, use point cue only, full physical at elbow, etc.)
