To begin setting up programs for your child, first make sure that your child is listed in the system. (See Adding new child to System)

  • Click on the Program Library link. Then click on the link for the Domain area that represents the curriculum area for the program you wish to set up. For example, if you wish to set up a program to teach Shoe Tying, click on the link for the Independent Living Skills domain (click on the words Domain Levels or on the + in front of these words). A list of programs that have already been partially set up for teaching Independent Living Skills will then appear on the screen. In the example below, you can see that there are 21 different programs in the Library for teaching Independent Living Skills. Some of these include Appearance Checklist, Laundry, Loading the Dishwasher, etc. Scroll down until you see the program for Shoe Tying.

  • Click on the words Program Name or click on the + in front of these words. This will lead to more information about the program becoming available to you. In this case, when you click on Shoe Tying, you will see the following information which tells you that the objective of the program is to teach someone to tie their shoes, and that the program category, or how the teaching program is approached, is via a Task Analysis.

  • Click on the paper & pencil in front of Shoe Tying in order to see additional information:

  • Once you have reviewed the Library information, and you are certain that you want to teach this skill to your client, it is time to set up your Specific Client Program (SCP).
