What is the CC_SRK_COHORT Table?

This table identifies new first-time, degree-seeking undergraduates enrolled at a community college in Fall semesters. Cohorts are based on definitions required for federal reporting purposes (i.e., Student-Right-To-Know). Full-time status is defined as 12 or more registered hours on the official reporting date (45th day).

What is the key (unique identifier for a row) for this table?

Unique records are determined by Semester, Arizona Unitid, and ASSIST Student ID. In other words, there is one record per student per community college per Fall semester.

Why would you use this table?

If you are a community college, you would want to use this table to determine how many of your new freshmen left your institution and eventually enrolled at a university.

Notes on using this table:

(1) In this table, Arizona Unitid refers ONLY to community colleges.

(2) If you are a community college, you can calculate Arizona University System persistence and graduation rates for your entering students by joining this table to the UV ENROLLMENT table by ASSIST Student ID only and NOT limiting Arizona Unitid to your institution.
