The First Contact: The Learning Contract

The first contact typically occurs in the Practicum Agency. The purpose of this first visit is on the “Learning Contract” which is located in the IPT System. This contract outlines your learning objectives and related activities. Prior to this meeting you and the Field Instructor will have completed a draft of the outline and the document will have been reviewed by the Faculty Liaison.

In addition to establishing the Learning Contract, this visit offers the opportunity for the Faculty Liaison to assess the appropriateness of the practicum setting.
