Illness

With the prior approval of the Agency Supervisor and notice to your Faculty Liaison, you are permitted to be absent from fieldwork due to illness or family distress. Should you be absent for more than two days, direct consultation must occur with the Faculty Liaison to determine how to proceed. The requirement to complete 350 hours of practicum does not change and you can’t deduct your sick time from the 350 hours. This means that you will need a plan to ensure that you can complete the required hours – despite being away from practicum for illness or family distress. If exceptional circumstances make completing the required practicum hours impossible the Practicum Coordinator will work with you to develop a new plan.
