Upon signing a contract with us your label name(s) are added to your account so you can submit releases on these labels. It is important that you complete your label profile with the information requested below, otherwise it will not be possible to proceed with uploading a release. In order to do so, click on your username in the top right of the homepage and click ‘Labels’ from the drop down menu.
To edit the label of your choice click on the box entitled ‘View Label.’
The information provided by you in this section is used for several purposes:
1. It is used to offer your label for consideration to stores that pre-select the labels they want to sell. It has become consistently harder to get a number of stores (Beatport, Bleep, Traxsource, etc.) to accept new labels to work with. With your first release we present your label to these stores for approval. It is therefore essential that we have the best possible information on your label at that moment.
2. Where possible we make sure that the stores display the label information as supplied by you.
3. Promotional purposes.
The label name has already been inputted from the information that you provided when signing up, so only the following information needs to be completed by you, all fields are mandatory:
- City: Enter the closest city in your country.
- Country of origin
- Genre(s): Please pick the genres that best describe your music.
- Website – Soundcloud is acceptable, but we’d advise against inputting Bandcamp here. You can put in a number of key sites here as well, social media, website etc.
- Biography: Enter a short label biography of no more than 500 words, must be at least 1 paragraph. This is your chance to sell the label to the stores, so please make an effort. “A fantastic Techno label from Berlin” is not really enough!
- Label Logo: Click on the “Browse…” button to upload your label logo. You will then be prompted to browse for an image file on your computer. The following requirements apply:
