It is so important nowadays for Artists and Labels to know as much up to date information about how their releases and tracks are performing, so we have now improved our daily sales and streaming stats for the new LMS portal, which can be found under ‘Sales Projections.’
Important Info:
Sales figures, not revenue – The information we provide from services in this section are not based on a monetary value, as that comes later on the statements and statistics. Therefore you will only see the number of units sold or streamed in this section.
Stores – Unfortunately not all stores have the capability to report on a daily basis, so you will only find download data for the following with this section: iTunes, Beatport, Juno and Traxsource.
Streaming Sites – As with the download stores, unfortunately not all streaming sites can report to us frequently, so you will only see streaming stats for the following: Spotify & Apple Music
Things Change: We know for a fact that more stores and streaming sites look to improve their reporting regularly, so please keep an eye on your notifications and e-mails for updates regarding new stores available within Sales Projections later down the line.
Sales Projections Explained:
The Sales Projections page is accessed via the top menu of your LMS, under the ‘Management’ section:
Downloads or Streams – First of all, pick from either downloads or streams, depending on which source you would like to investigate.
Sales Period – Here you can pick which period of time you would like to review, the most recent being ‘Yesterday.’ Here is the full list of available options, just simply click on your preferred one:
Range – As well as the clear specific periods of time mentioned in the above list, you will also notice one called ‘Range.’ If you click on this then you can pick a specific date range to view sales projections for (see example below). Please note that as the main purpose of this section is for projections or recent sales, then we do not go back too far in the past. For anything further back then please refer to exact sales in statements or statistics.
Top 5’s – Once you have picked a sales period or date range, then you will see a list of various ‘Top 5’s’ for your content during these chosen parameters. These are the following: Tracks, Releases, Artists, Territories, Dates and Stores/Streaming Sites:
Detailed List View/Go To List – To view the chosen period of sales as a more detailed overview, which includes more than just the Top 5’s, then click on ‘Go To List’ button (just below the date range).
Selecting Display Info – Here you can pick and choose what information you wish to display in your list, which can be as little or as much as you wish.
All Info chosen:
A few choices only:
Just click on the ‘Update’ button to display a list of the parameters you have chosen here.
Export – Once you have picked what information you want to be displayed on the list, then you can export this to a shareable and editable csv file for excel. You can do this as many times as you wish, so for example you could export a file with all information selected and then one with just Artist name, Release Title and Platform.
Once done you can then go back to the Sales Projections page and enter new date ranges to view or export.
