9.7.1 Filtering

Some tabs have a filtering menu sitting in the left hand side of the screen:

This menu is used to filter what is displayed in the right hand side of the screen. For example, filtering can limit the units displayed in the map view, or narrow down lists of units in the fleet view. Sometimes you will see a checkbox that can enable more search options – checking it will expand the fields you can filter by:

There are four types of filter mechanisms:

Type	Description	Takes effect
Search field	You type in text, and only items that match the text are kept in the results. You can reset the text by clicking the cross right to the search box, and all units will be included.	When you press ENTER or click the magnifying glass to the right of the search box.
Selection field	You select an item from the drop down menu, and only matching units are kept in the results. You can revert your selection by clicking the cross next to the drop down menu.	Immediately.
Range fields	You type in numbers in two boxes, and only units having a value within that range are kept in the results.	As soon as a value is entered in one of the boxes.
Date range fields	Same as a range fields, only that you select a date range instead of entering a numeric range.	As soon as you select one of the dates.
