Over time, the saturated detergent makes contact with the heater coils and forms a burned on substance which could impact performance and penetrate parts.

Therefore, a notification will be displayed on the HMI when the heater needs to be maintained. The default time is set to 80 hours and the machine comes programmed ready for use in a high volume environment.

Note: For higher throughput customers, the range may be adjusted from 80.

To perform heater maintenance, follow the steps below:

1. On the HMI, touch the Maintenance screen.

2. Enter password. (Check with your administrator on site for the password, if not known.)

3. On the Heater Maintenance screen, ensure the lock timer is at 00:00. If there is time still displayed, wait for the timer to run out. The lock timer is set to 5 minutes.

4. Remove the exhaust duct from the backside of the machine. Make sure to use a drip tray to catch any extraneous fluid.

5. Unlatch the back panel and set aside.

6. Unhook the reservoir tank with the 2 latches

7. Pick up the reservoir lid and slowly slide it back towards the user (towards the back of the machine), making sure to slide the lid against the upper lip seal to scrape any residual detergent off into the reservoir. Set aside.

8. Using steel wool or wet sandpaper (200 grit) scrub down the surface of the heater removing as much discolored debris as possible.

9. Rinse off heater coils and surrounding walls of the reservoir tank.

10. Rinse off the tank reservoir screen and scrub off any debris that may be present.

11. After cleaning/scrubbing both components, vacuum up all debris and fluid.

12. Reassemble machine.

This ends the heater maintenance procedure. The machine can now be filled with detergent using the Dose function before running a cycle.
