Opening and Closing the Chamber

To open the processing chamber, lift up on the paddle actuator. This will unlock the two rotary latches on either side of the chamber lid. Lift the handles until the lid is fully open.

*When opening the chamber, there will be a delayed release of the chamber lid to allow the chamber to clear. A visible lock and timer will be displayed on the HMI during this time. Once the timer expires, the chamber will become unlocked. This will occur every time the cycle is ended as well as anytime the cycle is paused or stopped.

The VORSA 500 is designed to keep the process lid locked at the end of its cycle while evacuating residual steam from the process chamber via the ventilation duct. It an unusual or excessive amount of steam is present when opening the lid, discontinue use and consult the Troubleshooting section of this manual or your PostProcess representative for support.

To close the chamber, pull down on both handles until the lid locks into place. Ensure that BOTH rotary latches are engaged!
