Shipping Proposal

The “Shipping Proposal” can be reached through the main menu:

Sales-A/R - Automotive - Shipping - Shipping Proposal

The data structure looks like the following:

Clicking on Shipping Proposal in the main menu opens the shipping proposal in the “add mode”. As as next step, select a customer for whom the shipping proposal should be made for:

A limitation can be set as follows:

Customer (Kunde)
Contains the customer ID for which the shipping proposal should be created.

Name
Contains the customer’s name.

Proposal type (Vorschlagstyp)
Contains the selected proposal type. The following characteristics are possible:

Customer factory (Werk des Kunden)
Contains the selected factory. When clicked, the little black arrow displays a list of all the available factories for this customer.

Unloading point (Abladestelle)
Contains the selected unloading point. When clicked, the little black arrow displays a list of all the unloading points which are affiliated to the previously selected factory of the customer.

Demand until date (Bedarf bis Datum)
Contains the date up to which the shipping proposal is created. The default value is today’s date.

*Depending on the “Proposal type”, another selection window is visible.

Time slice (Zeitscheibe)
For the moment only Porsche AG uses the time slice. Porsche developed a logistics concept, delivering the demands repeatedly over the day on certain points in time. These points in time are called “time slice”. The JIT delivery transmitts not only the “call date” but also the “call time” (time slice). Porsche expects the supplier to create a new goods issue for each time slice. The selection window for the time slice looks like the following:

Demand until time (Bedarf bis Zeit)
Contains the time slice until which the shipping proposal is created. If for example the time 11:30 is chosen, a shipping proposal is created which contains the time slices 07:30, 09:00 and 11:30. When the feature Goods issue is selected at a later time, a goods issue is automatically created for each time slice. In this case there are three goods issues, one for each time slice.

JIS delivery (PAB)
Contains the date at which the shipping proposal was created. The shipping proposal is created for all items which are scheduled to be delivered at the selected date. The dates are arranged by the increasing production sequence.

After making the desired selection, a click on the feature OK creates the shipping proposal with the chosen criteria.

The same result can be achieved through the Shipping Proposal Wizard.

*The “Shipping Proposal Wizard” can only create the “Proposal type” normal!

The result can be divided into the following sections:

• Tabs

1. Positions, every position represents a potential goods issue position. The item to be delivered is displayed as a partner sales order or a sales order position.
2. DB, this tab contains information about creation and administration.
3. Annotations, a free text. Has a short lifespan since the shipping proposals are deleted frequently.

Head data

Customer (@IAG_VVS0.U_cardcode):
Contains the customer number for which the shipping proposal was created for.

Name (@IAG_VVS0.U_Cardname):
Contains the name of the customer.

Customer factory (@IAG_VVS0.U_Wrk):
If a factory was chosen in the selection criteria, it is displayed here.

Unloading point (@IAG_VVS0.U_Abl):
If an unloading point was chosen in the selection criteria, it is displayed here.

Goods issue (IAG_VVS0.U_Wasnr):
Contains the goods issue number, after the feature Goods issue was executed.

Shipment status (@IAG_VVS0.U_Vvssts):
Contains the current status. The following characteristics are possible:

Demands to date (@IAG_VVS0.U_Bbsdat):
Contains the date which was entered in the selection criterium.

Cargo transfer date (@IAG_VVS0.U_Frcdat):
Contains the date at which the cargo should be delivered to the forwarder. Initially the date is entered automatically, but can be edited subsequently. The date is determined dependent on the settings in the ATM-Configurtion. The following characteristics are possible:

Forwarding registration (@IAG_VVS0.U_Spddat):
Contains the date at which the forwarding registration should be happening. Initially the date is entered automatically, but can be edited subsequently. The date is determined dependent on the settings in the ATM-Configurtion. The following characteristics are possible:
