The Source

The source originates audio and video for the media layer.

To choose what the layer will use, choose the source type:

A source can play media stored locally, display video captured from an input card, generate effects, relay video from another layer or use display video from the network.

Media Player

Plays video, audio or images from the Media Manager

Live Capture

Displays video captured from a hardware capture card.

Relays

Displays video from other layers, mix or viewports on the same system

Generators

Creates video based on generative effects.

NDI

Displays video from a network source based on Newtek’s NDI protocol.

Spout

Displays video from other programs on the same machine using the Spout interface.
