Notch controls are exposed as pins for control by Hippotizer

By default, there are 10 float and 2 string pins for the loaded Notch effect.

Each float control is 16bit internally, but may be controlled as 8 or 16bit by DMX as required.

If more parameters are required, the number of channels can be changed by adding a text file to the Notch Block folder:

  • Shut down the Engine and Zookeeper
  • On the Hippotizer, navigate to Documents/Green Hippo/Notch
  • Create a text document and name it Params.txt
  • Open the text document and add two lines:
numtextparams=5
numfaderparams=20
  • Save the text file and close it
  • Restart the engine

The variables to consider when editing the number of parameters of Notch:

Text Parameters

  • 2 by default
  • No Limit to how many can be created

Fader Parameters (Floats)

  • 10 by defalt
  • No limit to how many can be created

The Pin tree

Additional parameters are exposed as pins in Hippotizer. The engine must be restarted to changes to take place. New pins are added in the group RefTree on each mix, with the layers inside the RefTree.
