Timelines can be triggered and controlled from inside the Timeline window in one of three ways.

Playback controls
The basic playback controls are shown in the timeline component interface.
Resets the timeline. The play head is sent to 00:00:00.000
Plays the timeline from the current play head position
Pauses the timeline leaving the play head at the current position. If the play head is scrubbed when the timeline is paused, all changes the play head encounters while moving will be applied.
Stops the timeline leaving the play head at the current position. If the play head is scrubbed when the timeline is stopped, changes the play head encounters are not applied.
Mutes the timeline the timeline will not affect any pins while muted.
Shows the progress of the timeline as a proportion of the overall length and also the play head location.
Timeline Attributes
Each timeline also has a Name, and ID number. The name is a non-unique identification that is used only for the user interface. While the ID is used by multicontroller and DMX to remotely trigger the timeline.
Controlling a timeline from within the editor
The timeline play head can be started and stopped from within the editor by pressing space bar when the window is selected.
To select the timeline window left click into it.
