To maintain consistency in academically evaluating all students’ proficiency levels, the following scale will be used on exams, tests, quizzes, and other measuring devices where the teacher informs the students, parents, and administration:

4 4: Exceeding Grade Level Expectations
In addition to demonstrating the learning goal, your child consistently shows exceptional quality of performance, going “above and beyond” the basic expectations.
O = Outstanding 
3 3: Achieving Grade Level Expectations Your child is achieving! He/she consistently meets the learning goal, demonstrating high-level performance while building toward greater levels of skill and knowledge. S+ = Satisfactory Plus 

S = Satisfactory 
2 2: Developing Grade Level Expectations Your child is working to achieve! He/she is growing in the ability to meet the learning goal, though may need more frequent support, prompting, or additional practice to meet it consistently. S- = Satisfactory Minus 

P = Progressing 
1 1: Emerging Grade Level Expectations Your child is aware of the learning goal but does not regularly achieve it.   N = Needs Improvement 

U = Unsatisfactory, Undeveloped 
X X: Not Evaluated at This Time X: Not Evaluated at This Time
